East Goshen Township – Chester County Pennsylvania
East Goshen Township, Chester County Pennsylvania was formed in 1817 when the area was divided between East and West Goshen.
Now two separate Townships today, East Goshen and West Goshen, were once a part of the “Welsh Tract” formed by William Penn and named “Goshenville”.
East Goshen is a charming town with just 16,847 residents in the last census.
The East Goshen Park, 55 Acres of pretty open space on Paoli Pike, was named “The Best Family Park” by Best of The Main Line because of the superb features and services. East Goshen Park has six tennis courts, a hitting backboard to practice your strokes, two basketball courts, a children’s activity area, a putting green and a charming gazebo. It’s also a great place for walking or jogging.
East Goshen is part of the West Chester School District. The East Goshen Elementary School is on Route 352, just off of Paoli Pike and East High is the High School for East Goshen Township.
