February Valentine’s Fun Things To Do

Valentines Day comes along at just the right time to warm our hearts and hearth. It’s a good time to brighten your days with some fun things to do as you dream of a Spring or a Summer stroll along the beach. Here’s my Valentine’s Day picks and some Family Fun Things To Do in Chester County and the Philadelphia Main Line Area.

January 24th to March 31st – visit Longwood Gardens to see the Orchid Extravaganza and view thousands of exotic flowers

January 31stThe Colonial Theater in Phoenixville Segal Puppet Theater and “Cowboy Capers”  40 minute interactive puppet show for children 2–7.

February 14th – First ever Valentines Day Dinner at the Conservatory in Longwood Gardens Love Blooms – Couple $275.00 for an exotic offering of Truffles, Seafood, Chocolate and Champagne with music and dancing. 7pm -11pm

February 14th – The Radnor Hotel Valentine’s Tea for children 1pm-3pm with a craft, a story and a sing along $49.95 1 child 1 adult or try their Champagne Sunday Brunch for a treat.

Winter Getaway Packages To The Poconos where you could plan a Romantic Ski Weekend.

Sunday Brunch Bunch

Try a Sunday Brunch at Riverstone Cafe in Exton and take the kids.  Up for a Chester County  drive? Try Sunday Brunch at the Historic Kimberton Inn near Phoenixville.

Family Fun Things To Do

Learn To Ice Skate at Power Play Rinks in Exton or just go for their “Free Time” Skating Fun. Or try Haverford Township’s  The Skatium and The Villanova Skating Center in Villanova.

Looking for some weekend fun things to do? Try the Oasis Family Fun Center in Glen Mills where the kids can try their rock climbing skills, an indoor playground, and play video and arcade games. Just might help with the Winter blahs.

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia has gone high tech. You can still walk through the refurbished heart but they’ve added an amazing number of fun and educational interactive exhibits. For Chronicles of Narnia fans, the Narnia Exhibit is very well done and the Imax Theater is a real experience. Visiting Grand Children loved the day of fun at the Franklin Institute.

The Academy of Natural Science in Philadelphia Pa will enchant your little ones who love Dinosaurs

Free ideas from Crayola Crayons for crafty fun on a snowy day. You can even visit the Crayola Factory in Easton Pa (around Spring Break you’ll need a reservation) and see how crayons are made  Or, just buy a box of Crayons, the bigger the better and make some memories.
