The 4th of July falls on a Friday this year. What could be better than a long weekend with time for Family Fun Things To Do. Wilson Farm Park In Tredyffrin Township -Free Summer 2008 Concert Series
Beginning Thursday, June 19th from 7pm to 9pm, the Summer in the Park Concert Series is the place to be in Tredyffrin Township. The series opens with Blackthorn, the popular Irish Rock Band. All of the concerts in the series will be held at the Shire Pavilion.
Blackthorn performs throughout the area and they have been a popular draw for previous concerts in the Park.

Rita’s Water Ice In The Chesterbrook Shopping Center, Wayne Pa is on my Yums List of places to stop and relax with a client or with my favorite little people. As the days get longer and the temperatures rise, a refreshing “raspberry” or “lemon” Italian Water Ice cools the spirits. Rita’s is made with fresh fruit juice daily in a multitude of flavors and it’s fat free! Outside tables, the signature green, red and white stripes, charming umbrellas and the occasional local band will get your foot tapping. If you have some “little people” in tow, you might take a quick stroll over to Wilson Park and let them climb the jungle gym.
Rita’s also has Frozen Custard, with sprinkles or try a decadent “Blendini” with Frozen Custard and Oreo Cookie Chips. Can’t make up your mind, try the Misto a smooth blend of fruit ice and frozen custard. Get your card stamped. You’ll want to come back for sure. After 10 visits, you get a “freebie”.

The Community of Chesterbrook is a delightful, mostly town home community of over 4,600 residents located in the 19087 Wayne Zip Code. Main Line Health, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Horses, Cotton Candy and funnel cakes – OH My! Once a year this unlikely collection of topics will appear in the same sentence as the excitement of The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair begins to build. You know it’s almost that time of year when you see the sign go up at The Devon Fair Grounds letting you know that from May 22 to June 1st our Devon will be host to a world class equestrian event known as The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair.
Even if you know nothing about matters equestrian, invite your favorite child, grandchild, niece or nephew and come to The Devon Fair Grounds, where to everyone’s delight you will find a Midway with a Ferris Wheel, a Carousel to ride, games with prizes, yummy treats like the famous Devon Lemon Sticks, Devon Fudge, popcorn, cotton candy and hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza and Devon Sweet Tea with a hint of mint and lemon. There’s even a Tea Cart with real tea sandwiches or The Devon Garden Cafe if your palette is on a higher plane than cotton candy. Of course, you can find a salad, but, “gee Mom”.

Have You Heard? -The Jenkins Arboretum Is In Your Back Yard!
The Jenkins Arboretum , located just off of the Devon 202 Interchange on Devon State Road in Tredyffrin Township is one of the Main Line’s secret garden gems. I often pass by The Jenkins Arboretum in my travels about town. A couple of years ago I visited the Spring Plant Sale and enjoyed the company of other would be green thumbs. These unique, charming watering can sculptures were created for a fund raiser.
Check out these upcoming events and share the secret with your other ‘wanna be” green thumb friends. It couldn’t be easier – it’s a great place to walk, it’s free and open 365 days a year!
